Checklists And Onboarding To Be Replaced With Journeys In Update 24D

As a consultant specializing in Oracle Fusion implementations, I want to bring a crucial update to your attention. With Oracle’s Update 24D, a significant shift is occurring: the transition from traditional Checklists and Onboarding to Redwood Journeys, first introduced in Update 21A. Understanding the reasons for this move is key to a smooth transition.

Why Transition to Redwood Journeys?

The switch to Redwood Journeys is not merely a recommendation; it’s a critical step forward. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Default Activation of ORA_PER_JOURNEYS_ENABLED: This site-level profile option will be on by default post-update.
  • Sunsetting of Traditional Apps: The Onboarding and Checklists Tasks applications will no longer be available, making way for the more integrated Journeys experience.
  • Support Discontinuation: There will be no further support for Responsive Checklist Tasks, Onboarding, and Allocated Checklist pages.

Journeys on the Home Page: Your New Hub

Redwood Journeys offers a streamlined platform to manage all journey categories, whether predefined or custom. This unified approach is a game-changer.

Steps to Enable Journeys

Ready to embark on this journey? Here’s how to enable the ORA_PER_JOURNEYS_ENABLED profile option, which is currently set to disabled by default:

  1. Navigate: Head over to the Setup and Maintenance work area in Oracle Fusion.
  2. Access the Task: Select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
Find and Select: Look for the ORA_PER_JOURNEYS_ENABLED profile option.
  3. Adjust the Level: Choose ‘Site’ as the level.
  4. Enable: Enter ‘Y’ in the Profile Value field.
  5. Save Your Work: Click Save and Close.

Embracing the Future

As a consultant, I understand that adapting to new features in Oracle Fusion can be challenging. However, the move to Redwood Journeys is about embracing a more efficient, user-friendly approach to managing onboarding and task processes. This transition is a step towards harnessing the full potential of Oracle Fusion in your organization.

Stay informed and prepared for the future of Oracle Fusion with this essential update.
