Oracle Fusion Absence Management 25A introduces a powerful enhancement to the Redwood Absence Balance page, enabling you to configure qualification plans to display qualified entitlements in a new tab. This feature offers greater flexibility and visibility for both workers and managers.

New Feature Overview

Two new fields, Worker Balance Display and Manager Balance Display, have been introduced under the Balance Display section in the Plan Attributes tab of the qualification plan setup page. These fields allow you to define how qualified entitlements are displayed for workers and managers.

Display Options

There are four display options available:

1. Do not display
   • Qualified entitlements won’t be displayed on the Absence Balance page.
2. Always display
   • Qualified entitlements will always be displayed, even if the worker isn’t eligible for the plan and the entitlement is zero.
3. Display when eligible
   • Qualified entitlements will be displayed only if the worker is eligible for the plan.
4. Display when in use
   • Qualified entitlements will be displayed only if the worker has consumed a part of the entitlement in the current plan term year.

This functionality ensures that entitlement information is visible when most relevant to the user, streamlining access to critical absence data.

Why This Matters

This functionality has been highly anticipated by many customers for quite some time. In the absence of this feature, organizations have relied on custom reports to display the balance of entitlements for qualification plans. With this new enhancement, the need for custom solutions is significantly reduced, providing a streamlined and integrated approach.

Steps to Enable

By default, the Qualified Entitlement tab on the Absence Balances page is hidden. To enable it, you need to use Visual Builder Extensibility. Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Visual Builder Studio.
2. Access the Absence Management application.
3. Configure the display of the Qualified Entitlement tab as per your requirements.
