Hello, everyone! Today, I’m excited to share a new feature from Oracle Goals Management as part of the 24C version. This feature simplifies the goal-setting process by suggesting goals based on previous performance evaluations. Let’s dive in and see how it works!

What Are AI-Suggested Goals?

This feature uses artificial intelligence to suggest relevant performance and development goals for employees and managers. The AI looks at the following factors to come up with these goals:

• Goal comments
• Comments in the Performance Goals or Development Goals section of the performance document
• Comments in the Overall Summary section of the performance document
• Worker’s business title
• Worker’s department

For each suggested goal, you’ll get:

• Name
• Description
• Success criteria

How to Enable This Feature

To start using the AI-suggested goals in the Redwood Goals Center, follow these steps to enable the necessary profile options:

1. Enable Profile Options:

• Profile Option Code: ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED
  • Display Name: Enable VBCS Progressive Web Application User Interface
  • Value: Y
    
• Profile Option Code: ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED
  • Display Name: Enable Redwood Performance Documents and Goals Center
  • Value: Yes

Note: The Performance Document, Check-in, and Goals Center features are connected. They can be enabled or disabled together using the ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option.

Tips and Considerations

When you look at the Suggested Goals panel, the goals are listed in this order:

1. AI-Suggested goals based on the last completed performance document
2. Previous goals from review periods in the last 1.5 years
3. Organization goals
4. Shared goals

Tip: Make sure to enter relevant comments in the recently completed performance documents to get accurate and useful AI suggestions.
